CASE Award 2023
Video work Intertribal, about artist Quinn Hopkin’s mural installation wins the 2023 CASE Award, Short Video to Student Audience category.
The short video I made for Quinn Hopkins Intertribal murals located at Hart House, University of Toronto, was the recipient of this years CASE Award in the Short Video to Student Audience category. The video concept was to focus on the development and install of the innovative mural creation by Hopkins on site at Hart House, while delving in the inspiration and story process of the mural. I wanted to create a video with heart that resonated with the viewer, brought them into the world of Hopkin’s art practice and highlighted the cultural significance that this mural holds. The focus was on creating compelling visual story telling through the video, that amplifies the impactful Hart House experience.
The short won the a Best of District II Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), a global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement professionals championing education to transform lives.
Located onsite at Hart House and depicting a pow wow in Toronto, Quinn Hopkins’ mural features an augmented reality filter that offers the viewer an immersive experience and the ability to activate the space and interact with the piece and be a active participant; technology meets art. His talent, vision culture, originality and voice speak through through his work.

CITY BUS WRAP DESIGN
City Bus Wrap designed for Metro Vancouver transit buses, featuring artwork by Bharti Kher, in conjunction with her exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
in conjunction with the exhibition Bharti Kher: Matter, I had the opportunity to contribute to the city’s cultural landscape by designing a full bus wrap for one of the city busses in Vancouver, BC.
Collaborating and adapting one of Bharti’s patterns into a design that was both lively and emotive, could be shared with the public on a daily basis, and added to the artistic dialogue of the city was definitely one of the highlights of working on this amazing exhibition.
